Good data doesn’t just benefit the final link – it creates value throughout the entire supply chain.Â
In my previous insight, I explored what constitutes good data quality and how it plays a central role in boosting sales and customer satisfaction for e-commerce businesses. But it doesn’t stop there.
Even if you’re not selling directly to consumers, your product data remains absolutely essential to the entire value chain you’re part of.Â
Imagine you manufacture solar panels. You pass on your products and data to a company like Grundfos, which needs this information for ESG reporting and to document their efforts to their own customers and partners. Those customers, in turn, need data so they can give their customers – ultimately the consumers – the information they require.

Inadequate data quality can cost you both business and reputation if you fail to meet demands for documentation, sustainability, and traceability.Â
