The modern way to buy paint.

Since its beginnings in 2020, Klint has been on a mission to make decorating more fun and accessible — using bold colours and playful designs to help people create spaces that truly feel like home. 

At Kruso, we helped evolve Klint’s digital presence by transitioning their existing Centra ecommerce solution and establishing a close, ongoing partnership as their digital partner.

Enhancing Klint's digital platform

We took over Klint’s existing Centra platform from a previous digital agency and immediately focused on areas where we could improve performance and user experience. 

As an online-only business, Klint depends on a fast, responsive platform that creates a beautiful and helpful experience for people looking to redecorate their homes.

To elevate the user experience, we introduced user-generated content and reviews, integrated product videos, and added digital gift cards. We also developed new visual modules that better showcase Klint’s products and speak directly to their customers. 

With the implementation of a new event tracker, Klint can now get a deeper understanding of what features to develop next to further support its customers in the colour selection journey. Altogether, these upgrades have improved the overall experience of buying paint online making it more inspiring, intuitive, and enjoyable.

Simple, clean, yet powerful platform

Klint’s platform is built on a combination of Centra for commerce, Storyblok as the CMS, and a range of custom integrations. Centra is ideal for direct-to-consumer brands, and its composable architecture enables seamless integrations and streamlined business processes. 

We continuously evolve the solution with new features and modules, while keeping the platform easy to maintain and closely aligned with Klint’s brand strategy.

New smoooooth checkout flow

The checkout process is critical for today’s online shoppers. It needs to be simple, intuitive, and transparent with all key information available before, during, and after delivery. And if something isn’t quite right, the return process should be just as effortless. 

To meet these expectations, we updated the checkout flow with a new payment solution from Qliro, delivering a seamless experience that checks all the boxes. 

To support Klint’s ultra-fast delivery promise, we also implemented a pilot with online services marketplace Tiptapp, launching what we called “Tiptapp Express”. To make the pilot order flow as automated as possible, we built a third-party integration that sends real-time Slack notifications directly to the Klint and Tiptapp teams, helping them move faster and more efficiently.

Better Performance with CI/CD

The previous site struggled with performance... We needed to fix that. 

First, we expanded the Cloudflare integration in order to optimize content delivery, resulting in a faster and more stable site. This was an immediate win: deployment times dropped from 35 minutes to just 4. That’s 8x faster. 

Next, we established a CI/CD pipeline that automates the entire workflow from code integration and testing to production deployment. Everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and with minimal manual effort. 

The result? A faster, more reliable platform across the board.
